In collaboration with the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Akwa Ibom State, we celebrated the International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women on October 15 2018 where we visited St. Mary’s Secondary School, Abak.

Gender based violence and sexual harassment was the subject of discussion after which counseling and follow-up was undertaken. Sanitary pads were thereafter distributed to the girls at the school.
