On October 15, 2019, Health Compass together with Lifebuoy and the Standing Committee on Environment and Population Activities (SCOEPA) of the Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA) marked the Global Hand-washing Day.

Across six (6) states within Nigeria, over 4,500 pupils of primary schools were taught proper the hand-washing technique and educated about the benefits of hand-washing as a means of disease prevention. As a way to encourage the practice, over 4,500 soap bars were distributed to pupils across six states within Nigeria.
