Annual Summit of Health Compass Initiative

Over three quarters of non-communicable disease (NCD) deaths occurred in low- and middle-income countries with Nigeria being an essential part of these figures. At Health Compass Initiative, the core of our work revolves around NCDs with a major strategy being advocacy.
Thus, the first annual summit of Health Compass Initiative tagged “The Emerging Face of non-communicable diseases in Nigeria: Bleak or Promising” is billed to hold on 10th and 11th of April 2021.
The event would see stakeholders and healthcare professionals within Akwa Ibom, engage in a discourse around the subject of NCDs. We hope to draw the attention of policy makers and healthcare enthusiasts towards the need for increased interventions targeted at prevention and control of NCDs within Nigeria.
