Rural Medical Outreach 2020 – ObotObom Community

In our efforts to reach out to communities with limited access to healthcare, Health Compass Initiative in partnership with Uduak Charles Diaries had the pleasure to lead a joint team of passionate young volunteers to ObotObom Community, Uyo.

On 13th September 2020, we visited the aforementioned community where we offered free healthcare services including consultations, laboratory testing of HIV and malaria, distribution of free drugs and community health education.

In line with our efforts to combat non communicable diseases, we were able to offer free screening services for blood pressure and random blood sugar. Consequently, we were greeted to the need to scale up our community targeted efforts geared towards health promotion and disease prevention.
